September 2020: this permanently closed.

Red Monkey Walla Walla is open, great food, but it is not historic.

The Rochester (sign)/Borders (how the pay phone is answered) is the most historic, is found east of SR-125. It's over 85 years old, according to Alma the bartender. A wonderful wood interior, with historic memorabilia, including a signed photo of Joe "the boss" Hipp, the Blackfoot was the challenger for the World Boxing Championship in 1992. Mainly Spanish-speaking.

The Tuxedo Prescott is over 100 says Ashley the bartender.

Whiskey Canyon Waitsburg has a building started as a drive-in by Hank Hulse who lived next door. Bartender was Stuart.

Noble Hunt is closed but owner Elisea opened the café Locally Nourishing instead.

Jacob's is new but it's in the historic Weinhardt Hotel.

Alibi Pomeroy is histoirc, remained by the friendly owner Kristin. It started out as a gas station. It's been named newer to older: Hometown, Sagebush, Beestro,, and the Eatery.

Rooster Clarkston isn't historic, but has a great river view.

Hogan's Clarkston has everyone calling it historic, but our schedule kept us from going.

Matt's Asotin is nice, serves German food, but they were too busy to get the history.
